I grew up in Plimmerton the youngest of 4 children. I attended Plimmerton Primary school and then went to Kapiti College where I enjoyed hockey, badminton & running cross country. I went to Victoria University in 1982 and obtained a Commerce Degree, and went on to become a chartered accountant.
During the year of 1991 God spoke very clearly to me about going to Bible College I was not keen at all – this had not been on my plans & I could not see (at this time in my life) any reason for going but in the end I went. It turned out to be an incredible year where I learnt as much outside of the classroom as I did in it. I grew more than anyone else – graduating 8 months pregnant! We became very involved in the Apostolic (now Equippers) church and David pastored a church for 7 years.
Our 4 adult children Melissa, Nicole, Samuel & Andrew have all left home now. Our daughter Melissa is now married so we have a son-in-law Robby. I am currently working as office manager for a team of builders & joiners.
It is my privilege to be involved in Anchor Women alongside a great team of ladies.
